About the Status Page

The Max's Hub Status Page, available at status.maxshub.net, shows uptime information for all of our services in real time. It is a great way to quickly see the status of any given service. If a service is interrupted or maintenance is scheduled, announcements will be posted on the status page.

Understanding the Status Page

The status page has been laid out so that you can quickly and easily see if a service has gone offline and what it will affect.

Backbone

The first section of the status page is the Backbone section. This section comprises of three core services: Max's Hub Network Controller, SSO, and Local DNS. These are very important services, especially the network controller, and any one of them going down could impact all of the other services, hence the name "backbone."

Other Categories

The remainder of the status page will be split into other categories. These categories will change as services are put online and taken offline. For example, there may be a Minecraft category or a more broad Game Servers category.

Dependency Tags

Some services will have a dependency tag. These are orange labels that appear below a given service and will say "Requires X" where X is another service's name. These tags show that the given service is dependent on another specified service. For example, several web services will have a dependency tag that says "Requires SSO." This means that if the SSO service goes down then these services may not function properly or may even go offline.

Other Status Pages

There are currently two status pages: default and zt. Default is what shows automatically when you visit the status page. The other, zt, is a status page dedicated to showing ZeroTier status information. While we do host our own Network Controller for ZeroTier, we are still dependent on ZeroTier's own root servers which play an important role in allowing ZeroTier to function. The status of these root servers is shown on the zt status page.
