How to Install ZeroTier

This page goes over installation instructions for Windows-based computers. For other platforms, please see the bottom of this page.

Step 1 - Download ZeroTier Installer

Visit ZeroTier's download page and click the Windows icon to download the ZeroTier One installer.

Step 2 - Run the Installer

Once the download is complete, run the installer and follow the directions. Reference the photos below for each step of the installation. You must have administrator privileges to installed ZeroTier One.

Step 3 - Check System Tray

When the installer is complete, it will close and no new windows will open. The ZeroTier UI program should start automatically and can be found in your system tray. Clicking the icon will show its menu.

If you do not see ZeroTier UI in your system tray...
Try searching for and opening the application manually. Simply searching "zerotier" in the Start menu should populate the application. After opening it, check your system tray for the ZeroTier icon.
